Two posts in one day.. wow.
Well I am a photographer, and in university studying visual arts! yay! I love photography and have my camera out taking photos whenever I can. My walls are plastered with my photos... seriously over 200. Right now, I am realizing, I dont really have a 'style'. I just take photos of anything that looks nice or interesting. There are some artists and photographers who seem to have a style and I really like some of their work. I need to go and find myself a style. And I never have a theme, it seems famous photographers work around a theme or an issue that they are exploring.. I should start doing that too. Getting more into my work.
I wish I had more time to take photos right now.. schoool is so busy :( Cant wait for the summer.. maybe then I will set up a business. Make a webpage, get some business cards, make some prints to sell and advertise my work and photography skills. I cant wait to get started more on my life and follow my photographic dreams. Anyways... I should go do something productive. Enough about me for now.

finding themes and having a style will come to you (whether you try or not) as you gain more and more experience :)
ReplyDeleteand again, themes and issues that photographers deal with is usually from something that they are really interested in, or something they want to study more of, or think needs attention drawn to it. you can do this in sooo many ways, it depends if you want to be more commercial or artist based, and what way you lean to will probably be dependent on what kind of school you're at / what way your school shifts you. this all doesnt really mean anything, i just liked what you were writing, because i've been there :)
